Spamming just tourned academic...funny

After a while one gets bored of all the Viagra and mortgage refinancing schemes usually employed in the daily average spam. Although I have to admit that I barely receive ANY spam nowadays (thank you google!), today I got one that was more creative and more interesting. I will probably label it "an oldie but a goodie". One major flaw though: researchers are poor by definition, so please people, do not insult us in such an outrageous manner by putting 1 Mil. $$ (I mean, c'mon...how can you?). Instead a 1,000 or ten gees will be the perfect thing. Another small issue: get some decent emailing addresses, or fake websites, and then you'll improve. Good Luck! but I hope you'll be busted anyways..:)

Attached is the original mail.
Hilarious..

Flunk - Northern Electronica Music

Flunk is a Norwegian electronic band consisting of members producer Ulf Nygaard, guitarist Jo Bakke, drummer Erik Ruud, and vocalist Anja Oyen Vister.
For Sleepyheads Only is the 2002 debut album by Norwegian electronic band Flunk on Beatservice Records. The original pressing was on CD and Vinyl while a later revised version was released only on CD in the US from Guidance Recordings. Great mellow sounds and NOT for sleepyheads only! A+++

Sleep Deprivation

A nasty phenomenon which I am quite familiar with. I guess the big problem is that nothing (workout, stay up as much as possible, drink, sleeping pills) works for me in this case. After my bad session of sleep in Frankfurt, things got a lot worse back home and until this Friday, I became desperate for some normality. Which came, at least..and hopefully for good. Some magnesium + B vitamins will hopefully stabilize the status.

3 days in Frankfurt

The tradition of the ASP program is to make the annual trip to Frankfurt each year sometimes in February and visit some of the important institutions in the city. This year wasn't different...so starting on Wednesday we got camped in the wonderful residences of Deutsche Bundesbank and started to hike the skyscrapers in downtown Frankfurt: the European Central Bank (ECB), Deutsche Bundesbank (DB), Deka Bank or others (GTZ, KfW). Overall, a nice getaway from Kiel..but the schedule was too tight ( 7am - 6pm of meetings and presentations). Moreover, unfortunately for me, I had to work the nights (1-3 am) on my SSRC fellowship application, since I just found out that I can apply. In the end, it might be all for nothing, since I am not sure I got the second recommendation needed in time for the application. Hopefully..i did.
