Travel, fluddings & the global link

It seems like the weather is becoming more and more unstable each year. Still, not many think we should do something about it. Who, me..? Even if I want to, it wouldn't make a difference anyways.. that goes the usual saying. In the same week in which some French people experience for the first time a tornado, the north and north eastern part of Romania was confronted with massive rains and fluddings. I just left this region, thus, was able to escape most of it..but the question still remains: when it will all be sufficient to say "enough"? Just by looking at the gloomy Beijing Olympic skies one can definitely see there is something terribly wrong the way we threat the environment. Free riding is obviously not a good solution ..yet still, here we are.

No Spring in the NorthEastern USA

Woow.. I can't believe that we have freezing temperatures, snowstorms and high winds even now in mid-April. Makes you wonder if better days will eventually arrive here also. The contrast is even bigger since I just returned from a sunny and blossoming place like Japan and dived into this powerful storm which is hammering the Northeast this weekend and coming weeks.

The big white

It seems that whenever I decide to wrote something about the weather it's got to be bad. I miss the good old days without snow and with decent Spring-ish temperatures or at least we should have a Winter but in December, not close to March. The main problem nowadays seems to be the pedestrian movement heavily impeded by the half a meter snow and the cold, our good old buddy. I am tired of it and these lake effects bringing winds and other heavy snows on their way. At least in Europe seems to be better, but with the changes undergoing globally, nothing is for sure anymore.
